Setup Sidekick generates a complete, legal setup for Legendary: A Marvel Deck Building Game — not just a list of card names, but the adjusted quantities for your player count, with every change attributed to the Scheme or Mastermind that caused it.

Getting help

Email chuck@topenddevs.com. It reaches a person, and a short description of what you tapped and what happened is usually enough.

Worth including if you have it: your player count, which edition you were playing, and which expansions were selected. Most reports come down to a specific Scheme or Mastermind, and those three details usually identify it.

Common questions

A setup looks wrong. The app applies the base quantities for your player count, then folds in whatever the Scheme and Mastermind change, stating each adjustment in its own words. Where a card says something it could not work out, it tells you to read that card rather than guessing — so if something seems missing, check the cards it flags. The base tables are verified against the official 1st and 2nd Edition rulebooks.

Why doesn’t it show the card text? Deliberately. The app tells you which cards to pull and how many of each; the wording on them is Upper Deck’s, and you are holding the cards.

An expansion is missing. Every released set through Weapon X is included, plus both Core Sets. Some are filed under the name the BoardGameGeek wiki uses rather than the name on the box; the Sets screen shows the box name and release year to tell similar sets apart. Two Ant-Man expansions exist, and they are different products.

2nd Edition is marked incomplete. Its Schemes, Masterminds and Heroes are present; its Villain Groups and Henchmen are not yet available in a form the app can source. The Sets screen says so rather than quietly giving you a short pool.

I bought Remove Ads and still see ads. Open Settings and tap Restore purchases. Purchases are tied to your Apple ID, so a reinstall or a new device needs a restore. If that does not work, email with the approximate date of purchase.

Restoring on another device. The purchase covers every device signed into the same Apple ID. It does not transfer between different Apple IDs, including within a family, unless Family Sharing covers it.
